Abbate’s FRS Equipped with the Edelbrock E-Force Supercharger
We are extremely proud to officially announce Edelbrock as one of our most exciting partnerships for 2016. Edelbrock’s Director of Advertising, Eric Blakely shares, “Partnering with Michele and the GRR Racing Team is a great opportunity for us to see how the E-Force supercharger performs under road race conditions. We look forward to working with them and we expect the FA20 E-Force system to deliver the performance Michele needs to be competitive.” SCCA Championship winning race car driver Michele Abbate states, “Our Scion FRS is now equipped with Edelbrock’s SCCA approved E-Force Supercharger System (http://www.edelbrock.com/automotive/mc/superchargers/fa20.shtml) and I cannot wait to show what it can do as we defend our championship title in the SCCA US Majors Tour. We have an amazing line up of partnerships, including continued support from Delicious Tuning (www.DeliciousTuning.com), who has some of the best knowledge and time with tuning the FA20 motor, specifically with the Edelbrock E-Force system – it’s really going to be a great year!”. The kit was installed by GRR Racing Crew Chief Anthony Philleo, who adds, “the install of the E-Force system is so straight forward and simple with the provided booklet, I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. We are also excited to have ACE Headers (www.AceHeaders.com) on board with us to pull the most power and torque we can!”.
In addition to the added boost, Abbate’s FRS flaunts a few new components that provide excellent performance and aesthetics to the car. A custom wrap designed and provided by Reklaw Design , accentuates a loud and aggressive look to match the race car’s new power plant. As avid supporters of all those that serve this country, the FRS carries the infrared flag on its roof as a tribute and reminder of support to all those deployed overseas defending our country. The DV style SEIBON Carbon (use referral code: ABBATE30 for discounts!) dry carbon hood helps alleviate some of the added weight to the nose of the car, while providing fantastic ventilation for the FA20 motor. Seven new Elite series (Auto Meter) gauges and mounts provide Michele with all of the vital information and data she needs on the track. While off track, the GRR Racing team is thankful to be styling with fully custom canopies and flyer flags by Action Sports Canopies, and also, the team’s favorite tunes will always be jamming through our new Scosche waterproof Boom Bottles! MCC Motorsports has also provided us support with all of our aftermarket and OEM needs. Lastly, we are also excited to welcome Sin City DIY Auto Repair to our team. This is a shop, local to Las Vegas, where you can make an appointment to use their lifts, space, and tools! Our livery reveal video was shot at their location and it is always a clean, fun, and safe environment.
